EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio – Although winter is here, it’s not too early to think spring. With environmental projects in mind, Heritage Thermal Services (HTS) wants local schools and non-profit groups to know that applications for environmental grants are now available.
Grants in amounts ranging from $100 to possibly $1000 will be presented for projects that demonstrate a benefit for the local environment. Schools and non-profit groups within a 15-mile radius of the facility are welcome to apply. A total of $6,500 is available for 2017.
2017 Environmental Grant Application The application may be downloaded from the nearby link or by calling 330.386.2194. March 25 is the deadline to apply. Grants will be awarded during the 2017 citySweep collection of household hazardous waste at HTS on April 22.
Since the company first distributed grants in 1998, schools and community groups have received a total of $80,375 through this program. In 2016, 12 organizations received grants ranging from $150 to $1,000. Visit our Facebook site to see the environmental grants in action.
