EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio – For the second consecutive year, Heritage Thermal Services (HTS) employees had the honor to serve those who served our nation.
Eighteen employees, including several family members, served meals donated by the company to 150 East Liverpool-area veterans and their families. American Legion Post 374 hosted the event, which followed the city’s annual parade.
The significance of Veterans’ Day and the vital lessons that history has to offer were the main themes of the keynote address delivered by retired Army Staff Sgt. William Ware. He also shared several of his experiences as a combat medic during tours in Korea, Germany and Iraq.
Just before the keynote address, the American Legion’s James Johnson presented HTS President John Avdellas with a commemorative plaque thanking the company for its ongoing support of local veterans.
