EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio – Respect for disabled veterans was the theme of this year’s ceremony honoring the men and women who served in the U.S. armed forces. The message was delivered in a passionate keynote address by James Bailey, who serves on the executive board of the Ohio Disabled American Veterans.
Close to 150 East Liverpool-area veterans and their families and friends packed American Legion Post 374 on Nov. 11 following the parade honoring their service and sacrifice. East Liverpool Chapter #47 of the DAV hosted the event.
About 20 Heritage Thermal Services’ (HTS) employees served dinner to the guests. Many more would have volunteered had work schedules and other commitments allowed. HTS paid for the dinners, and provided commemorative t-shirts for the guests.
Plans for this special day were made during the summer in meetings with DAV Commander Ray Talbott and his staff. HTS is honored to serve those who have served us.
