Research & Development is a strategic part of the Heritage Group of companies, which includes Heritage Environmental Services, LLC. Other Heritage Group companies include petroleum refining, asphalt product, highway construction, and mining. That's why Heritage understands manufacturing and dealing with by-products from many different processes. Our R&D professionals, who include chemists, engineers and geologists, are focused on establishing reuse and recycling options that benefit the environmental management needs of our customers.

Heritage Research Group formed in 1980 and initially was environmentally focused on how best to stabilize hazardous wastes. After more than 25 years, the success of this research has manifested itself in leachates from the Heritage operated landfills that meet drinking water standards. In the early 1990s, Heritage turned full-time to finding legitimate recycling and reuse for by-products to remove customers' waste from RCRA reporting.
