Heritage Environmental Laboratories Adds Consumer Product Testing For Child Safety To Its Service Lineup

Indianapolis, IN, August 21, 2009 -- Heritage Environmental's laboratory group is excited to announce that it can now help customers conform to the requirements of the new consumer product safety regulations focused on child safety. "In August 2009, Heritage Laboratories became A2LA Accredited", announced Gary Klingler, Lab Director.

The regulations, CPSIA 2008, issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission require that manufacturers and resellers certify through independent third party testing that their toys and other child care products do not contain harmful levels of lead or phthalates. Products containing harmful levels of lead have been subject to massive recalls and fines have been issued. Independent third party testing helps ensure the safety of the consumers who use these products.

Heritage's laboratory group also provides environmental analytical testing services, including groundwater, drinking water and industrial discharge water testing as well as hazardous waste characterization and oil/fuel testing. The laboratory is a unit of Heritage Environmental Services, a nationwide provider of byproduct and waste management, landfill, industrial cleaning and logistics services. Visit their web site at www.heritage-enviro.com for more information.
