The landfill in Putnam County, Indiana has been state-of-the-art in its design and operations since its' opening in 1981. Each of its cells include a dual synthetic liner, leachate collection and leak detection systems, a three foot compacted clay liner and drain system for further safety. In addition to a network of monitoring wells that surround the facility that are re-evaluated annually to assure the highest standards.

Redesigned Heritage EIS Improves Customer Account Management

Last month, Heritage launched its newly redesigned customer portal, Heritage EIS (or Environmental Information System). Heritage EIS provides customers with self service access to the information required to manage an environmental program. EIS has been designed with security, ease of use and convenience in mind. EIS contains up to date information on approved waste profiles, shipments and lab results as well as copy's of documents like manifests, certificates of analysis and invoices. In addition to data and documents, with EIS email messaging, customers can receive notification of the next Heritage waste pickup opportunity in their area, click a link and submit an order request. Customers will also have the ability to automatically receive time sensitive documents like manifests and certificates of analysis by email as soon as they become available.
